About Me

I am Sheilla Njoto, an academic researcher at The Policy Lab (The University of Melbourne), with a research domain concentrating on digital ethics, including algorithmic biases and its impact on equality and gender. I am also interested in investigating how the rise of digitisation reconceptualises the idea of 'fairness' and 'discrimination'. I graduated from Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art in 2018, where I explored art history, culture and politics. I am currently finishing my Master of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne, focusing on Big Data and AI in democratic governance.
